I just read the article in The Hindi. It's really terrific. It brought back a lot of memories, back to those heady times on OTL when we first started connecting and questioning what could be done on-line by creative and passionate people.
And here is the answer to that question: Wannabe Studios. Everyone here who stuck it out and stayed connected and threw themselves forward into your first feature, ONAN. It's a remarkable achievement.
I wish I could say I was with you guys all along, but that…

Alienated, starring Vincent Pastore (The Sopranos) looking to create a stir in the film festivals worldwide
Vincent Pastore’s character Gino is dealing with something bigger than the mob. It’s in the trees and in the air, he thinks it’s everywhere. Pavaline Studios created a short film that will have critics wondering what is next for the savvy independent film company in New York City. President/Executive producer Marc Dahan and producer David Allensworth are making a name for themselves and i…

Continued from “Getting down to the tooth of it. Part 4″
That day was a very long day for Tom and Jack. Not only full of anticipation for the return of the Tooth Fairy, but after school Tom had rehearsals for the school play and Jack had football training. They had decided Tom will wait up in the attic again because that’s the only way Tom is able to stay awake. They figured they are bound to meet the Tooth Fairy again if one of them is awake.
After their Dad had tucked them into bed and said g…

Continued from “Getting down to the tooth of it. Part 3.”
Gold dust still floating in the air, Tom and Jacks parents rushed into the room, with grave concern written on their faces. “What is going on in here boys?” Said their Mum. “We are just playing!” Said Tom, not even realising the Tooth Fairy had disappeared. Suddenly for Tom and Jack their lockets were as light as a feather. Tom looked at his hands and around him to see where the locket had gone. “Who were you two talking to?” Their fathe…

Continued from “Getting down to the tooth of it. Part 2″…..
He was stuck! He knew now that he had to interact with Jack. The Tooth Fairy wasn’t very good at interacting with people, since his life didn’t include talking with people. He has had to deal with the odd parent in the past, one ending with the police arriving. That day, his timing was a little off, a little like today.
Jack wiped away water from his eyes and said “You have to stay and meet my brother, Tom. Have you collected teeth fro…

Hi all,
Couple of weeks ago I had to privilege of being an Assistant Director documenting the Music workshop and Concert at The Chennai university auditorium.
The program was sponsored by Marg Constructions and they had musicians including 'Guitar' Prasanna (Smile Pinky's Music Director), Mike Pope (Bass Guitarist), Rodney Holmes (Drummer) David Gilmore (Guitarist)
It was an awesome experience capturing them in their elements and the workshop had private lessons for the students, ensembles se…

Continued from "Getting down to the tooth of it."
“You see I believe grown ups don’t believe in the Tooth Fairy. When the grown ups forget to change the tooth for money, the Tooth Fairy comes along and does his thing.”
“So why did Mum put the tooth in the glass of water beside my bed then, if she doesn’t believe? You have huge holes in your story Tom!” “Because deep down and way back in their mind, they really do believe, they just don’t know it.” “You are crackers Tom!” Remarked…

The Tooth Fairy appeared out of no where. Fortunately while Little Jack was in deep sombre. Big Tom watched him through a hole in the floorboards of the attic. He watched him place Jacks tooth in a silver locket hanging around his neck. Then he placed a small gold nugget in the glass of water beside the bed. Tom caught a glimpse of his side profile, he thought it looked strange. On account of the great big mole on his nose, which made it look three times as big. Then without warning the Tooth…

Sleep is not your friend, remember this in the hours of your dying that sleep though at times a necessary intrusion on the process of life, is your sworn enemy. The sleep of the mind, and the sleep of inaction.
To sleep such as these are to steal from you your most precious commodity, Time.

Just finished a few pieces for a commercial client.
I am away for the week, avoiding the beach, which my family loves.
I have three films to finish, three shorts, but unless I give up sleep, I have no time to finish them.
I have passion, just it is off sulking somewhere.
I plan on taking the Brent Snyder screenwriting workshop next weekend.
I will tell you how it all goes.

Just a quick shout. If anybody out there is going to be at SIGGRAPH in New Orleans this week, feel free to track me down to talk screenwriting, filmmaking or whatever. I'll be focused on the audio sessions for the most part and attending a couple of nights of the animation festival.
See you there.
